I could talk endlessly about the beauty of this game. It is the only game in which you play one against one without a specific type of match. However, the match will be fun and its ending is ambiguous for both parties. This is something that all the great games that came after it, such as No Mercy, SmackDown Here Come the Pain, did not achieve. I used to play with my brothers for long hours, and the fun was, as I mentioned: the ambiguity of the ending, the lack of endless control just because you chose a strong wrestler, the circumstances and control change, and the beautiful interaction with the surrounding environment. There is another thing in this game that distinguishes itself from all other games, which is the feeling of gravity. When a wrestler jumps, you feel his weight and the resistance to gravity. I used to feel the weight of the wrestler's body as he rose into the air, or when his opponent carried him. This feeling was gone after this game. It is without a doubt the best wrestling game I have ever played.

I use to love watching the Von Erichs and the free birds wrestle, I looked forward to Saturday afternoons, we could watch them in Minnesota on channel 29, but I'm not gonna lie, I was a big fan of the free birds despite them wearing the Confederate flag on their apparel.

I try to explain to my Son today how Super Over the Entire Von Erich Family was. Especially David and Kerry. The Fans loved them Boys in whatever Town or City they were working in. Their Mother Dorris was such a good hearted woman and endured so much grief in her Life time. She was a Great Mother and deserves a lot more credit than what she gets. Everyone talks about Fritz but Dorris was the Glue that held the Family together

I don’t know how many folks realize the talent that got started in WCCW. It’s kinda wild. Michael Hayes, who wasn’t that great of an actual wrestler but could sell anything and make you hate him was next level. Shawn Michaels started in WCCW. Kamala the Ugandan Giant. The Missing Link, who used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid, The Sheepherders, Jimmy Garvin. Lots of great wrestlers came through The Sportatorium. The memories of a messed up child hood I had but I’ll always love the excitement Saturday night had for me when the Von Erich’s came to the ring.

1983 Gainesville, Texas Jake the Snake was in a bar running his mouth being loud. He was yelling how he was the toughest guy in the bar. He is from Gainesville and knew better. Lome Buckaloo damn near beat Jake the Snake to death. Bet he didn’t run that mouth in a bar again. He left in an ambulance this is 100% true!

Me and my grandma use to travel around Texas to watch the Von Erich’s. It was a great time in wrestling. At one time WCCW was the best one even better than WWF “WWE” which was in its CARTOON era at that time. Wasn’t even close WCCW was the best from 1982 to 1985. Damn shame what happened!

I grew up watching Bradshaw FAIL his first 5 years......couldnt believe he turned it around...Pittsburghers dont believe in Good Fortune coming our way.....We thought we blew all our Good Fortune for the Immaculate Reception! Also, the general opinion of Bradshaw in Pittsburgh was, great arm and size......but not real smart. He just sounds Dumb, when he is on Camera.....even all these years later. But i will say.....Chuck Noll was a messenger Guard for Paul Brown, when Cleveland was winning Championships. Somehow Noll realized that Terry could call his own plays, and it worked.....and EVOLVED ! Only QB to win 4 SuperBowls,in 6 years, when Qbs could get hit, unlike the the Tom Brady , cant sneeze in his direction BS Football we see today
